ABOUT WORDS DON'T STAY STILL

The founder and facilitator of Words Don't Stay Still is Brett Carrier. Brett is an accomplished English Language Arts Instructor with nineteen years of teaching experience. She is a three-time Teacher of the Year (school level) recipient who has spent her entire teaching career facilitating students on their journey to embrace the art of writing as a primary pathway to communication and a catalyst for change.

Brett graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rollins Hamilton Holt School with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Psychology, and she consistently uses this background in brain-based learning when developing curriculum. Her teaching style is a unique blend of 21st century writing and reading workshop, supported by critique-driven reflection. Embedded into her coursework is the acknowledgement that each learner has the capacity - the innate desire - to challenge themselves. It is the aim of every session to provide them with the language, grit, and fortitude to do so.
